Ferreiras, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - The U.S. Women's National Team will meet Sweden in the final of the Algarve Cup on Wednesday after both teams finished up group play with wins. The United States had already clinched a spot in the final before their match with Norway on Monday, but despite resting a number of regulars, they came away with a 1-0 win. Megan Rapinoe scored the lone goal in the 21st minute for the Americans, who have won the competition a record six times. The final will be even more special for U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage, who will be facing her home country after they knocked off Germany 3-2 to win their group. The Swedes jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two goals from Lotta Schelin and the opener from Nilla Fischer, while the Germans rallied with second-half goals from Inka Grings and Kim Kulig before falling short. The USA has won all three of its games so far by a combined score of 4-0, while Sweden rebounded from a scoreless draw with China in its opening game to beat Finland and then Germany.
