Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - The Milwaukee Brewers released relief pitcher Eric Gagne from his minor league contract on Sunday. The 33-year-old Gagne, who will now undergo conservative rehab, had an up- and-down 2008 campaign, going 4-3 with a 5.44 earned-run average and 10 saves in 50 games with the Brewers. Throughout his 10-year career in the majors with the Dodgers, Rangers, Red Sox and Brewers, the 2003 National League Cy Young Award winner is 33-26 with a 3.47 ERA and 187 saves.
