Enschede, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Blaise N'Kufo scored deep into stoppage time to help second-place Twente salvage a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven at Arke Stadion on Sunday.
Balazs Dzsudzsak put the visitors ahead in the 64th minute, but Marko Arnautovic ripped a shot on target in the game's dying minutes that was spilled by goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson, allowing N'Kufo to pounce on the rebound.
Despite the late equalizer, the result drops Steve McClaren's side 11 points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar, which beat NEC 1-0 on a second-half goal from Kew Jaliens.
Twente had the first good look at goal nine minutes into the game with Cheik Tiote beating three defenders and firing just over the net from the top of the box.
Dzsudzsak then forced a good diving stop from Twente goalkeeper Sander Boschker, but the best chance of the half fell to N'Kufo right before the break when a poor clearance by Carlos Salcido fell right to the striker, but he was turned away at close range.
The opener came midway through the second half when PSV was awarded a questionable free-kick at midfield.
A number of Twente players stopped to protest the call, and PSV's Ibrahim Afelley played a quick pass ahead to Dzsudzsak who got into the box and beat the keeper with a low shot.
Isaksson made a great save on N'Kufo as the game entered stoppage time, but he was unable to hold Arnautovic's shot and N'Kufo scored right before the final whistle.
Third-place Ajax also fell further behind AZ as they could only come away from Den Haag with a 1-1 draw, Feyenoord got past NAC 2-1 with Jon Dahl Tomasson's goal eight minutes from time, while Roda and Utrecht finished 0-0 and last- place Volendam recorded its fifth win of the season as Jack Tuyp scored in the 33rd minute of a 1-0 win against Vitesse.
