Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Jarrett Jack scored 25 points and converted the go-ahead three-point play with 44.5 seconds left, and the Pacers didn't allow the
Los Angeles Clippers a field goal over the final seven-plus minutes, earning a 106-105 victory at Staples Center.
Troy Murphy had 22 points and 15 rebounds for Indiana, which won for the third time in four games. T.J. Ford ended with 17 points and eight assists, while Marquis Daniels and Rasho Nesterovic each scored 10 in the victory.
"We dug in defensively and kept the ball in front of us," said Jack. "We played awful in the first half and then the guys showed what they were made of in the fourth quarter."
Eric Gordon returned after a four-game absence due to a bruised left shoulder and poured in 35 points for the Clippers, who dropped their fifth straight game. Al Thornton had 22 points and nine boards in defeat.
"I liked the energy for our young guys," said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. "Unfortunately at the end, we turned the ball over. We just didn't finish our shots."
Zach Randolph had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers. He missed the previous two games to be with his father, who passed away Thursday.
Thornton's driving layup represented LA's final bucket with just over seven minutes remaining, and the Pacers then finished on a stunning 14-4 spurt.
Jack and Murphy hit three-pointers to get the Pacers within 103-100 before Randolph canned a pair from the foul line with over three minutes left for a 105-100 difference.
Ford went 1-of-2 at the foul line and Brandon Rush made a pair from the charity stripe before each team floundered offensively with Daniels missing a layup and Thornton failing on a dunk attempt.
After Randolph missed a three-pointer, Jack drove the lane for the tying layup. Randolph committed the foul and Jack's extra shot gave Indiana the lead, its first since early in the second quarter.
Clippers guard Mike Taylor then lost the ball driving to the hoop, but Rush missed a three-pointer from the corner, giving LA the ball back with 5.2 seconds left.
Daniels then came up with the big block on a driving Gordon in the waning seconds.
The Clippers led 30-25 after one quarter and stretched the advantage to 64-51 at the half. It was 89-84 heading to the fourth.
