Kilmarnock, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies rued a series of missed chances as his side crashed to a 2-1 defeat to Celtic. Two great goals from Scott McDonald consigned Killie to a ninth loss of the season at Rugby Park, but Jefferies was proud of his battling team. "We started the second half well and David Fernandez should have scored," he said. "Kevin Kyle then put a terrific ball in for Conor Sammon and I thought he had time to chest it down and slot it away, but he completely missed it. You have to take those chances. "I don't know if he was caught in two minds and did neither. But if the roles were reversed and Kyle had the chance, then he'd have scored because he was excellent. "But I was proud of the players and it was as good a performance as we've had against Celtic here for a long time." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
