Motherwell, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Motherwell manager Mark McGhee accepted after his side's 2-1 defeat to Hearts that the Steelmen now have no chance of replicating last season's third-placed finish. The midweek results have left Motherwell seventh in the table, 12 points adrift of the Jambos, who currently occupy third place. McGhee said after a tempestuous clash: "We have no chance of getting third spot now. It's far too much for us to do. "Hearts seem to be getting results although I don't know how. It was a game that we completely dominated. We didn't win the game because we were slack at two long throw-ins. "To concede two goals from the exact same situation, particularly in that last minute, was disappointing. I'm disappointed, but I'm satisfied that I've got a good team. We played with style at times." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
