Jupiter, FL (My Sportsbook) - The St. Louis Cardinals signed veteran left- handed reliever Dennys Reyes to a two-year contract on Thursday. Reyes, 31, had spent the previous three seasons with Minnesota, and in 2008 he went 3-0 with a 2.33 earned-run average in 75 appearances. "We've had nearly a month to evaluate our club," said Cardinals' general manager John Mozeliak. "With a month still remaining before Opening Day, we feel that Reyes is someone who immediately helps us fill a need for added bullpen depth." Over 12 seasons in the majors, he is 32-32 with a 4.28 ERA in 535 games, which includes 40 starts. He has also played for the Dodgers, Reds, Rockies, Rangers, Diamondbacks, Pirates, Royals and Padres.
