Buffalo, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with forward Tim Connolly. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Connolly has appeared in just 29 games this season and has 11 goals with 15 assists. He has 66 points in 77 games over the past two seasons, but has missed considerable time with various injuries. In 304 games since joining Buffalo before the 2001-02 season, Connolly has 57 goals with 135 assists for 192 points. Connolly was selected by the New York Islanders with the fifth overall pick of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to Buffalo in June 2001 in a deal that sent Michael Peca to the Islanders. In 467 career games with New York and Buffalo, Connolly has 81 goals with 186 assists for 267 points.
