(My Sportsbook) - The top-seeded
Cleveland Cavaliers return home tonight to face the Central Division-rival
Milwaukee Bucks at Quicken Loans Arena.
Cleveland is currently the top seed in the Eastern Conference, one game ahead of Boston, and can clinch a playoff spot for the fourth straight season with a victory tonight. It just went 3-1 on a just-completed four-game road trip thanks to three straight wins.
In a 107-100 victory over Miami on Monday, superstar LeBron James recorded a game-high 42 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Cleveland, which has won eight of its last nine games overall.
James has scored 40 or more points in four of his last 12 games and leads the team in scoring (28.5 ppg), rebounds (7.3 rpg), assists (7.0 apg) and steals (1.7 spg).
Mo Williams added 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the recent victory, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas ended with 12 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for the Cavs.
Cleveland is 35 games over .500 for the first time in franchise history (47-12). The Cavs surpassed the 1988-89 squad, which improved to 55-21 on April 11th of that season to go 34 games over .500.
The Cavs are 26-1 as the host this season.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee has dropped three of four and five of its last seven games, and will open a short two-game road trip Wednesday against the Cavs and Bulls. The Bucks are 11-22 away from home this season and are coming off Tuesday's 99-95 setback to the New Jersey Nets at the Bradley Center.
Charlie Villanueva led the Bucks with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while Richard Jefferson added 20 points in defeat. Ramon Sessions contributed 19 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks, who now sit just a half-game ahead of New Jersey for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Cleveland is aiming to sweep the season series from Milwaukee for the first time since winning all four meetings in 2006-07. The Cavs have won the first three matchups this season and 11 of the past 14 encounters between the clubs.
Milwaukee has lost in two straight, 10 of 11 and 11 of its last 14 trips to the Forest City.
