(My Sportsbook) - The New Orleans Hornets hope to sweep a two-day trip to the east coast Monday and record a season-high fifth straight victory when they arrive in snowy Philadelphia to take on the 76ers at the Wachovia Center. The Hornets won a tough one in New Jersey on Sunday when Chris Paul hit the go-ahead jumper late in the fourth quarter and came up with two clutch steals in the waning moments, as New Orleans escaped with a 99-96 victory over the Nets. Paul finished with 14 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals in the Hornets' fourth straight win. David West carried the offensive load with 32 points and 11 boards, while Rasual Butler contributed 22 points to the winning cause as New Orleans improved to 15-13 as the visitor on the year. The Sixers, meanwhile, hope to salvage the back end of a two-game homestand. Philadelphia collapsed in the fourth quarter on Saturday when Courtney Lee scored 13 of his 18 points in the final frame, helping Orlando erase a 10- point deficit to finish off a three-game season sweep of the Sixers in a 106-100 decision. Andre Miller carried the 76ers with 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in that one, while Andre Iguodala chipped in 22 points on 8-of-21 shooting for Philadelphia, which has lost five of seven games since the All- Star break and is 17-13 in the City of Brotherly Love. Willie Green and Thaddeus Young tallied 19 and 18 points, respectively, in defeat. The Hornets have dominated the Sixers recently winning the last three matchups between the two teams by more than 18 points per contest.
