Buffalo, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Bills freed up some cap space Thursday by releasing guard Derrick Dockery and tight end Robert Royal. Dockery singed a seven-year deal with the Bills back in 2007 after playing his first four years in the league with Washington. The Redskins selected the former University of Texas star in the third round of the 2003 draft. Dockery is known as the one of the most durable players in the league, having started all 16 games in each of the past five seasons. Meanwhile, Royal caught 33 passes for 351 yards and a touchdown in 15 games last season. Royal, also a former draft pick of the Redskins in 2002, spent the past three years with the Bills and owns 1,081 yards and 12 TDs on 112 career receptions. |
