Sacramento, CA (My Sportsbook) - Emeka Okafor notched his 30th double-double of the season, with 13 points and 11 rebounds, to help the Bobcats in a 98-91 victory over the struggling Sacramento Kings, as Charlotte snapped a seven- game road losing streak.

Gerald Wallace poured in 27 points for the Bobcats, who won in Sacramento for the first time in franchise history (1-4) and saw their three-game overall slide come to an end. Boris Diaw chipped in 23 points, five boards and as many assists, while D.J. Augustin ended with 12 points on 4-of-4 three-point shooting.

"It is still a work in progress," said Bobcats coach Larry Brown. "I am learning what guys can do and how we can help certain players. This is a great group of guys, they want to get better. It is like the Kings, we have so many new players. It is hard to implement a lot of stuff when you have so many new players. But as long as they try and look out for each other, everything will work out in the end."

Kevin Martin donated 27 points for the Kings, who have lost three in a row and nine of 10 overall. Francisco Garcia added 15 points in defeat. Drew Gooden, in his first game with the Kings since being dealt from Chicago in mid- February, had 12 points and 13 boards in the setback. Gooden had been sidelined since mid-January due to a strained groin.

"I was good enough to go out there and do what I do and I kind of surprised myself," said Gooden. "I didn't think I was going to be able to cut and drive like that. I think that it caught up with me toward the end of the game."

The Kings were dealt an injury too, as guard Beno Udrih left the game just over a minute in after spraining his right foot. Udrih missed his only shot attempt in the game, but came in averaging 11.1 points and 4.3 assists this season.

The Bobcats were up 30-20 after the first quarter and opened a 55-41 lead at the break.

Martin's three, Spencer Hawes' dunk and Jason Thompson's two free throws cut it to 55-48 with 8:44 left in the third quarter.

The visitors outscored Sacramento 23-12 over the rest of the frame in an effort to take a 78-60 lead into the final 12 minutes.

Five points from Vladimir Radmanovic and a three by Augustin gave the Bobcats an 86-62 lead with 10:23 left in the contest.

Martin, though, answered with a pair of free throws that sparked a 13-0 Kings run. Andres Nocioni and Bobby Jackson closed out the surge with a pair of free throws each to bring the Kings within 86-75 with 5:17 left to play.

Sacramento failed to get close until the final minute, when it was already too late.

Game Notes
