Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with cornerback Joselio Hanson on a five-year contract. Hanson was set to become an unrestricted free agent on February 27. "We are happy to keep Joselio in Philadelphia with a long-term contract," said head coach Andy Reid. "He's become a productive and valuable player on defense for us over the last few years, especially in nickel situations. Good cornerbacks are certainly a valuable commodity in this league and Joselio definitely fits that category." The 27-year-old has appeared in all 48 regular season games, starting eight, and all five postseason contests for Philadelphia since signing with the club as free agent prior to the 2006 season. Hanson got his first interception for the Eagles last season to go along with 39 tackles and one sack. The Texas Tech product logged a career-high 52 tackles, with one sack and one fumble recovery in 2007 when he started a season-high four games. Hanson originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a rookie free agent in 2003 and played in 13 games, making three starts the following season. In 61 career games, Hanson has accumulated 146 tackles, three sacks and the one interception over four seasons with the Eagles and 49ers.
