Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - The defense lawyers for Willie DeWayne Clark, the man charged with the fatal drive-by shooting of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, entered a not-guilty plea in court on Friday. A Denver grand jury returned a 39-count indictment, charging Clark with the New Year's Day 2007 murder of Williams and the attempted murder of two others. The charges allege that, at about 2:15 a.m. Clark was driving a sports utility vehicle and pulled alongside a limousine in the area of Speer Boulevard and 11th Avenue. He then fired multiple shots into the vehicle. The 24-year-old Williams was killed, while two other passengers in the limo were wounded.
