Ashburn, VA (My Sportsbook) - The Washington Redskins waived punter Ryan Plackemeier on Thursday. Plackemeier joined the Redskins at midseason last year and played in 10 games, with 55 punts for a 41.7-yard average. Durant Brooks beat out veteran Derrick Frost for the job in the preseason, but struggled and was released after just six games. A veteran of three NFL seasons with Seattle and Washington, the 24-year-old Plackemeier owns a career 42.2-yard punt average. |
