Edmonton, AB (My Sportsbook) - The Edmonton Eskimos announced Tuesday that they have signed defensive lineman Dario Romero to a two-year contract extension through the 2011 season. In the 2008 season, Romero posted 30 tackles, six sacks, a fumble and one fumble recovery, and was named a CFL West Division All-Star. "Dario is one of those players you want on your side when go into battle. He's intense and that carries over to the rest of the d-line," said Danny Maciocia, Edmonton general manager and director of football operations. Romero started his pro career in 2001 with Edmonton and played with the Eskimos for one season before spending four seasons with the NFL's Miami Dolphins. Romero went back to the CFL in 2006 and played two seasons with Montreal, then signed with Edmonton as a free agent in February 2008.
