New Orleans, LA (My Sportsbook) - Minnesota Timberwolves forward Al Jefferson left Sunday's 101-97 loss to the New Orleans Hornets with a right knee injury. With just 27.2 seconds left and the game tied at 94, Jefferson appeared to make a crucial block on New Orleans' Sean Marks but was called for the foul. In the process, Jefferson landed on his right leg awkwardly and hopped to midcourt, where he eventually fell to the floor while writhing in pain. "I hope (it's not a serious injury)," Jefferson said after the game. "I don't want to think about it until I get my X-ray tomorrow. I felt a pop." Jefferson had to be helped off the court and did not return, scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the loss.
