The Blueshirts were able to pick up a point in their most recent loss, as they dropped a shootout decision against visiting Atlanta on Tuesday.
Slava Kozlov recorded the game-winning goal in the shootout to lift the Thrashers to the 2-1 victory at Madison Square Garden. Prior to the game, the Rangers retired the No. 9 jersey of Adam Graves, a key member of New York's 1994 Stanley Cup championship team.
Markus Naslund's 16th goal tied the score with 10.6 seconds remaining in regulation for New York, but the Rangers were unable to grab the extra point after regulation. Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves in the loss.

New York has a 13-10-2 record as the visiting team this year and has lost three in a row on the road. The Rangers will cap a brief two-game road trip Monday night against the rival New Jersey Devils.
The Stars, meanwhile, had won five straight games before getting handed a close loss Thursday night at Colorado. Cody McLeod pumped in the game-winner with 7:11 remaining in the third period, as the Avalanche defeated Dallas, 3-2, at Pepsi Center.

Marty Turco surrendered three goals on 21 shots and was handed his first loss since January 19 in Tampa.
Tonight marks the start of a four-game homestand for the Stars. Dallas is 13-6-4 as the host this year and has won three straight and five of its last six home tests.
Dallas visited the Rangers back on October 20 and notched a 2-1 decision at MSG for its second straight win in the series. New York hasn't played in Dallas since December 14, 2006, when the Blueshirts snapped a six-game road winless streak against the Stars.
