Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - Washington Capitals goaltender Brent Johnson is scheduled to have hip surgery next Tuesday and will be sidelined for the next six-to-eight weeks. Johnson was last in net in a victory over the Ottawa Senators on February 1. In 21 games this year -- 19 starts -- the 31-year-old is 12-6-2 with a 2.81 goals against average for the Capitals. The 6-foot-3 native of Farmington, Michigan, is a career 111-94-13 -- including 13 ties -- with a 2.63 GAA and .903 save percentage in 247 games over nine-plus NHL seasons with the Blues, Coyotes and Capitals. In other injury news for Washington, captain Chris Clark underwent successful surgery on his right forearm Thursday. The right winger, whose return to the ice has yet to be determined, has played in 32 games this season with just one goal and five assists.
