(My Sportsbook) - LeBron James and the
Cleveland Cavaliers aim for a franchise record 23rd consecutive home win Tuesday when they welcome the
Toronto Raptors to Quicken Loans Arena.
Cleveland improved to 22-0 as the host this season, matching the franchise mark for consecutive home wins first set during the 1988-89 campaign, with a 112-95 rout over the Los Angeles Clippers on January 30.
The Cavs became the first team to win at least its first 22 home games in a season since the Chicago Bulls (37 games) and the Orlando Magic (33 games) accomplished the feat in the 1995-96 season. Cleveland is also the first team since the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers (22 games) to win 22 straight home games to begin a season, each by a margin of at least four points.
Most recently, the Cavs won their second straight game on Sunday when Daniel Gibson and Mo Williams combined to score 15 of the first 17 points in the fourth quarter, and Cleveland completed a come-from-behind victory over the Detroit Pistons in a 90-80 decision at The Palace at Auburn Hills.
Williams finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while James led all scorers with 33 points to go with eight helpers for the Cavaliers, who have won six of seven games overall.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, in his second game since returning from a 13-game absence due to an ankle injury, recorded 13 points and eight boards in the win.
The Raptors, meanwhile, dropped their second straight contest on Sunday when Dwight Howard finished with 29 points and 14 rebounds, leading the Orlando Magic in a 113-90 rout of Toronto at Air Canada Centre.
Jose Calderon totaled 16 points and six assists to pace the Raptors, who have lost two straight on the heels of a season-high three-game win streak.
Joey Graham chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for Toronto, which got 12 points and eight boards from Andrea Bargnani.
Cleveland has won three straight and seven of its last eight meetings with the Raptors, including a 114-94 win at the "Q" on December 9. The Cavs have also taken eight straight home games vs. Toronto, which is just 10-16 as the visitor on the year.
