Amsterdam, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Danijel Pranjic scored in the 59th minute and Heerenveen edged Ajax, 1-0, at Amsterdam ArenA on Saturday in the Dutch Eredivisie. Heerenveen swept the season series from Ajax, extended its win streak to four games and pulled within three points of second place. Heerenveen's win was also just its third in Amsterdam in 17 tries. Ajax, which had its five-game winning streak snapped last weekend, dropped its second straight and remained six points behind idle AZ. Heerenveen won the teams' earlier meeting at Abe Lenstra Stadion, 5-2, thanks to a pair of goals from Pranjic. After Ajax defender Thomas Vermaelen was sent off in 47th, the Croatian struck again in the rematch, netting his 14th goal for the match-winner. Pranjic is second in the league in scoring. Also Saturday, Mads Junker and Ricky van Wolfswinkel scored in the second half as Vitisse defeated Willem II 2-0, Gonzalo Garcia-Garcia scored in the 75th as Groningen edged Den Haag 1-0 and tied NAC last-place Volendam 1-1. On Sunday, Sparta hosts AZ, Graafschap hosts PSV, Twente hosts Utrecht and NEC hosts Feyenoord.
