(My Sportsbook) - The
Houston Rockets resume a three-game homestand Saturday when they welcome the
Golden State Warriors to the Toyota Center.
The Rockets lost the opener of the residency on Wednesday when Elton Brand finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and a season-high six blocks, as the Philadelphia 76ers erased a double-digit deficit to edge Houston, 95-93.
Tracy McGrady recorded 24 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Rockets, who have dropped two in a row and three of their last four contests. Luis Scola ended with 18 points and 10 boards for Houston, while Yao Ming added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Rockets, who are 15-6 at home on the year, will finish their homestand with a bout against Chicago on February 3.
The Warriors, meanwhile, hope to build on one of their best wins of the season in the second leg of a three-game road trip on Friday. Corey Maggette led five Golden State players in double figures with 19 points in that one, as the Warriors edged the New Orleans Hornets, 91-87, to pick up just their fifth road win of the season.
Jamal Crawford added 17 points and hit a key jumper with 15.4 seconds left, as the Warriors moved to 5-21 away from home. Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis each had 15 points in the Golden State win, while Jackson also ended with seven assists and six rebounds.
Andris Biedrins scored 12 and brought down nine rebounds, as the Warriors won for the second time in three games.
The Rockets have taken four straight games from Golden State, including a 131-112 thrashing in Houston earlier this season.
