New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Infielder Sean Casey, most recently with the Boston Red Sox, retired from baseball on Tuesday. The 12-year veteran will join the newly-launched MLB Network as a studio analyst. "I feel like I'm not really retiring, but moving on to a new stage of my life," Casey said. "MLB Network gave me an opportunity to stay in the game and be able to spend more time with my family." Casey, 34, hit .322 in 69 games last season for the Red Sox, with 17 runs batted in. The three-time All-Star spent eight of his 12 MLB seasons with Cincinnati, and also played with Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Detroit. In 1,405 career games, Casey owns a lifetime .302 batting average and .367 on- base percentage, with 130 home runs and 735 RBI.
