Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - The Colorado Avalanche activated forward Ian Laperriere from injured reserve on Tuesday. Laperriere has missed the last eight games after leaving in the third period on January 4 against the Minnesota Wild with a back injury. The gritty right winger has registered four goals and nine assists with a team-best plus-five in 39 games for the Avs this season. Colorado also recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League. Cumiskey, who represented the Monsters at the 2009 AHL All-Star classic on Monday, had a goal, assist and was plus-six for a Canadian All- Stars squad that fell to PlanetUSA, 14-11. Cumiskey leads all Monsters defensemen with five goals, 12 assists and 17 points while playing in 28 games. Unearthed by the Avalanche in the seventh round (222nd overall) of the 2005 draft, Cumiskey picked up no points in five games for Colorado this season.
