(My Sportsbook) - A pair of Pacific Division rivals get together Sunday evening in Oakland, as the
Los Angeles Clippers pay a visit to the
Golden State Warriors at ORACLE Arena.
The Clippers will try to put the brakes on a six-game road losing streak, but are coming off a 107-104 victory versus the Oklahoma City Thunder in the finale of a six-game homestand at Staples Center.
Eric Gordon set a franchise-rookie record for points in a game with 41, while Al Thornton set a season-high with 34 points for the Clippers, who still only have two wins in their last 16 games. Ricky Davis totaled 11 assists in the win and Fred Jones had 12 points and seven assists.
Clippers guard Mardy Collins left the game with 7:43 to go in the first quarter with a left calf strain. He is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Center Marcus Camby (ankle) is also questionable against the Warriors.
Meanwhile, the Warriors will wrap up a seven-game homestand and are 3-3 so far on the residency. They have lost two straight games, including Friday's 106-105 setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers on LeBron James' game-winning jumper at the buzzer.
Stephen Jackson recorded 24 points, eight boards and eight assists for Golden State, which has dropped eight of its last 11 contests overall. Corey Maggette had 23 points and eight rebounds, while Anthony Morrow chipped in 19 points in defeat. Monta Ellis made his season debut Friday, completing a comeback after a controversial offseason ankle injury.
Ellis had been suspended for the first 30 games of the season after violating his player contract due to a moped accident that caused his ankle injury. He had signed a six-year, $66 million contract in July before undergoing surgery to repair the ankle. Ellis finished the game with 20 points. Guard Jamal Crawford sat out due to a hamstring contusion and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Clippers.
Golden State defeated the Clippers, 121-103, on November 15 at the Staples Center and has won four straight and five of the last six meetings. LA has dropped five straight after winning its last three in Oakland.
