(My Sportsbook) - Two of the NBA's worst teams square off in Hollywood this Friday, when the Oklahoma City Thunder invade Staples Center to face the lowly
Los Angeles Clippers.
The Thunder have picked it up recently, however, and were very competitive in winning the opener of a quick two-game road swing on Wednesday, when Jeff Green sank the game-winning shot as time expired to give Oklahoma City an exciting 122-121 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Oakland.
Green finished with 26 points for the Thunder, who have won four of their last six and improved to just 3-17 as the road team this season. Russell Westbrook added 30 points and seven assists, while Kevin Durant notched 27 points and 12 rebounds.
The banged-up Clippers, who continue to play without stars Baron Davis, Zach Randolph and Marcus Camby, lost for the 14th time in 15 contests on Wednesday. Andrew Bynum had a breakout game with a career-high 42 points along with 15 rebounds, and Kobe Bryant posted a triple-double as the Lakers topped the Clippers, 108-97, and beat their intra-city rival for a seventh straight time.
DeAndre Jordan had a career-best 23 points, pulled down 12 boards and had four blocks for the Clippers, who were outrebounded by a 46-26 margin on the night. Al Thornton ended with 20 points in defeat.
Randolph, who has been sidelined for the last 13 games with a sore left knee, is getting closer to playing but will likely remain on the sidelines tonight,. Camby, who has missed two in a row with a sprained left ankle, is questionable. Davis remains on the shelf indefinitely, along with center Chris Kaman (left arch).
The Clippers, who are finishing a six-game homestand tonight, have won three straight over Oklahoma City/Seattle and have already beaten the Thunder in Oklahoma City twice this season.
