(My Sportsbook) - The
Cleveland Cavaliers resume a four-game West Coast road trip Friday in Oakland, hoping to record a home-and-home series sweep of the
Golden State Warriors.
The Cavs have won four of the past five meetings between the two clubs, including a rather easy 112-97 win in Cleveland earlier this season. The Cavaliers have also beaten Golden State in Oakland in each of the past two years.
The Cavaliers improved to 1-1 on their trek Wednesday in Portland, where LeBron James and Mo Williams scored 34 and 33 points, respectively, to lead Cleveland to a 104-98 win over the Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
James also finished with 14 assists and seven rebounds, while Williams went 6- for-9 from three-point range for the Cavaliers, who rebounded from a 105-88 loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles on Monday.
Anderson Varejao ended with 12 points and eight boards in the win for Cleveland, which shot 52.6 from the field.
Cleveland, which is now 12-8 as the visitor on the year, will finish its trip in Utah on Saturday.
The Warriors, meanwhile, fell to 3-2 on a season long seven-game homestand on Wednesday, when Oklahoma City's Jeff Green sank the game-winning shot as time expired to give the Thunder an exciting 122-121 victory over Golden State.
Stephen Jackson poured in 29 points and doled out seven helpers for the Warriors, who saw their two-game win streak come to an end and fell to 9-10 at ORACLE Arena this season. Corey Maggette added 26 points and Kelenna Azubuike 21 in defeat.
On the injury front for Golden State, talented center Andris Biedrins, who is averaging 13.7 points and 12.0 rebounds per game this year, is questionable for tonight's tilt with a sprained left wrist.
After tonight, the Warriors will finish their residency with a bout against the LA Clippers on Sunday.
