Oakland, CA (My Sportsbook) - Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis will make his season debut Friday against the Cavaliers, completing a comeback after a controversial offseason ankle injury. Ellis had been suspended for the first 30 games of the season after violating his player contract due to a moped accident that caused his ankle injury. He had signed a six-year, $66 million contract in July before undergoing surgery to repair the ankle. The Warriors' second-round pick in the 2005 draft had been available to return from his suspension on December 17, but the injury kept him out until Friday's game with Cleveland. Ellis averaged a career-high 20.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 81 games with Golden State last year, his third with the club.
