(My Sportsbook) - The New Orleans Hornets celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday by opening a quick two-game homestand against the Indiana Pacers in the Big Easy.

The Hornets just finished a three-game road trip at 2-1 on Saturday when Chris Paul recorded 23 points and 14 assists, leading New Orleans to a 91-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

David West added 20 points and seven rebounds for the Hornets, who have alternated wins and losses in the past nine games.

James Posey scored 13 points, and Tyson Chandler provided 11 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.

New Orleans, which is 12-5 as the host this season, will finish its residency with a bout against New Jersey on Jan. 21.

Indiana, meanwhile, just finished a two-game homestand of its own in perfect fashion on Friday when Danny Granger posted 23 points and five rebounds, and the Pacers spoiled Jermaine O'Neal's return to Indiana with a 111-104 win over the Toronto Raptors.

O'Neal, who spent the last eight seasons in Indiana, returned from a nine-game absence due to a knee injury for Toronto, but tallied only two points in 17 minutes of action.

Troy Murphy had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Pacers, who have won two straight after a three-game losing streak. Mike Dunleavy added 22 points, and Jarrett Jack had 17 in the win.

The Hornets have won two straight over Indiana, including a 105-103 thriller in Indianapolis on December 28. The Pacers, who will face San Antonio in the back end of a two-game road trip on Tuesday, are just 6-16 as the visitor on the year.
