Boston Celtics will shoot for their fifth straight win Monday when they welcome the
Phoenix Suns to TD Banknorth Garden.
Ray Allen scored 25 points, leading the C's in a 105-85 rout of the New Jersey Nets during the back end of a home-and-home set at the IZOD Center on Saturday.
Kevin Garnett finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Paul Pierce recorded 13 points for the Celtics, who also crushed the Nets on Wednesday in Boston. The victories followed back-to-back wins over Toronto earlier this week.
Rajon Rondo had 14 assists, nine boards and eight points, as the Celtics won for the seventh consecutive time against the Nets.
On the injury front for Boston, center Kendrick Perkins will sit tonight with a strained left shoulder and reserve guard Tony Allen remains sidelined with a sprained right ankle.
The Suns, meanwhile, resume a grueling six-game road trip after winning the opener of the trek in Toronto on Sunday.
Steve Nash finished with nine points but the two-time MVP dished out a season- high 18 assists and had a huge bucket in the waning seconds, as Phoenix handed the Raptors a 117-113 defeat.
Amare Stoudemire logged a game-high 31 points and Jason Richardson tallied 17 for the Suns, who won their ninth straight game against the Raptors and snapped a two-game skid.
Shaquille O'Neal and Matt Barnes each contributed 16 points in the win.
The C's, who are a gaudy 20-2 in Beantown on the year, snapped a five-game losing skid to Phoenix with a 117-97 win at TD Banknorth Garden in March of last season.
