Keaton Grant added 12 points, while Nemanja Calasan scored 10 for Purdue (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten), which has won three in a row following two consecutive losses. Robbie Hummel finished with nine points and eight rebounds for the Boilermakers.
David Palmer had a game- and career-high 19 points, while Matt Gatens contributed 11 points for Iowa (11-7, 1-4). But no one else scored more than six points for the Hawkeyes, who have lost three in a row.
Ahead by seven at halftime, Purdue held a lead of several possessions through the early stages of the second period. But about four minutes in, the Boilermakers went on a 14-0 run to take control.
Grant kicked it off with a three-pointer, and Moore, Hummel and Lewis Jackson followed with a trey each. Hummel closed it out with a layup for a 49-28 Purdue lead with a little over 13 1/2 minutes left.
It was a back-breaking run for Iowa, which never recovered down the stretch. Later in the half, Moore hit a triple and Chris Kramer followed with a dunk to boost Purdue's lead to 68-38, and with just over seven minutes remaining, the Boilermakers cruised to the win from there.
After a close start to the game, Purdue got the upper hand with an eight-point burst that Marcus Green capped with a jumper for a 19-11 edge. The basket came with eight minutes remaining in the first half, and the teams traded points the rest of the way. Green's three in the waning seconds handed the Boilermakers a 29-22 edge at the intermission.
