(My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia 76ers shoot for their seventh consecutive win Saturday when they make the short trek up I-95 to take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

The Sixers won their season-high sixth in a row on Friday night when Thaddeus Young dropped a career-high 27 points and Andre Iguodala contributed 21 points, eight assists and five rebounds, as Philadelphia whipped the San Antonio Spurs, 109-87, in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Sixers secured a little revenge against the Spurs, who handed Philly its last loss on January 3 on Tony Parker's fadeaway baseline buzzer-beater.

Andre Miller added 11 points and six assists, while reserves Lou Williams and Marreese Speights chipped in 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Philadelphia, which shot 50.0 percent from the field and 8-of-14 from three-point range.

The Sixers also may be buoyed by the return of power forward Elton Brand tonight. The two-time All-Star, who is averaging 15.9 points and 9.8 rebounds this season, has not played since dislocating his right shoulder in a game against Milwaukee on December 17. Brand is expected to return for limited minutes in either tonight's contest or when Philadelphia hosts the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

The Sixers, who will be attempting to reach the .500 mark for the first time since November 24, haven't won seven in a row in nearly two years. Philadelphia last recorded a seven-game win streak from February 26-March 10, 2007.

The Knicks, meanwhile, lost for the first time in three games on Friday when Antawn Jamison poured in a game-high 28 points to lead the Washington Wizards in a 96-89 victory over New York at the Verizon Center in the finale of a home-and-home set.

Al Harrington had 18 points for the Knicks, who failed to equal their season- high win streak of three games and squandered an opportunity to sweep the season series from the Wizards for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign.

David Lee had 15 points and tied a career-high with 21 boards in defeat. Wilson Chandler gave 16 points and Chris Duhon 13 and eight assists.

The Sixers, who are 8-12 as the visitor this season, have won two straight and six of seven over New York, including an easy 116-87 win in Philadelphia earlier this season. The Knicks are 9-8 on the year at MSG.
