St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Steve Downie from Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Downie has played in 14 games this season with both Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, and owns one goal in eight games played with the Lightning. The Ontario native recorded nine goals and 32 points in 22 AHL games with the Phantoms and Admirals this season. The 5-11, 200-pound Downie, who was selected to represent the Canadian All- Stars at the 2009 AHL All-Star Game, has seven goals and 13 points over 46 career NHL games. He was acquired from the Flyers earlier this season. In a related move, Tampa Bay reassigned defenseman Vladmir Mihalik to Norfolk. Mihalik posted a pair of assists in seven games with the Lightning in 2008-09.
