Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Kyle Singler finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds, leading third-ranked Duke to a 70-56 win over Georgia Tech that kept the Blue Devils perfect in conference play.

Gerald Henderson also scored 19 points for Duke (15-1, 3-0 ACC), which has won seven consecutive games. Jon Scheyer added 14 points and five assists for the Blue Devils, who again used defense to top a conference opponent.

"He wants to beat you, he's a good player," Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said of Henderson. "In the second half our offense had a little bit more movement and we put him in a couple different places so he could do it. He lost it a couple of times, but we went to both him and Kyle. We tried to run a bunch of things through those two kids."

Duke, which forced 18 turnovers Wednesday, has limited all its ACC foes so far to under 60 points, allowing an average of just 52.7 points per game.

Zachery Peacock had 13 points, and was the only player to reach double-figures in scoring for Georgia Tech (9-7, 0-3), which has lost two in a row. Gani Lawal collected 17 boards to go with six points in the Yellow Jackets' loss.

"Two things that have bothered us all year - free throws and turnovers - came back and hurt us again tonight," Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt said. "The effort is there and that's why I think this team will come out of this funk and start playing some winning basketball. We are certainly playing the best basketball that we've played in a long time."

Duke held a three-point advantage at halftime, but didn't lead by more than two possessions until Henderson had a free throw and Singler canned a three to put the Blue Devils up 42-34 with 12 1/2 minutes remaining.

They continued to lead, but Georgia Tech stayed close and pulled within 46-41 with a little over eight minutes left on a Lewis Clinch three.

But just as the Jackets had threatened to get back in the game, Duke pulled away with an 11-3 burst. Scheyer had two free throws and Henderson followed with a triple to start the run. After Clinch made a three of his own, Scheyer came back and hit from long distance, Henderson sank a jumper and Scheyer capped the surge with a free throw to make it a 57-44 game with under five minutes left.

It seriously dented Georgia Tech's chances of winning, as the Jackets didn't get closer than 10 points the rest of the game. Following Maurice Miller's three that trimmed GT's deficit to 60-50, Duke made five of its next six free throws to go ahead by 15 points with under 2 1/2 minutes on the clock, and the visitors held on for the win from there.

Georgia Tech held the early lead, and back-to-back buckets from Peacock and Alade Aminu put the home team in front 21-14 just before the midway point of the opening half. The Jackets continued to hold an advantage until a 13-0 run put the Blue Devils in front. Singler had a pair of layups in the stretch and Henderson's jumper with 1 1/2 minutes left capped the burst, boosting Duke's lead to 30-25. The Blue Devils then went into halftime leading 31-28.
