Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Dodgers finalized a one-year contract with relief pitcher Guillermo Mota on Wednesday. Mota will begin his second stint with the Dodgers, having played with the team from 2002-04 before being traded to Florida in a deal that brought Brad Penny to Los Angeles. Mota served as the primary set-up man for closer Eric Gagne, who won the Cy Young Award in 2003. "Guillermo is a power arm that can stabilize the back of our bullpen," said Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti. "He's had plenty of success in LA before and we look forward to seeing that again." Last season for the Brewers, Mota posted a 5-6 record with a 4.11 earned run average in 58 games. In 10 years with the Expos, Dodgers, Mets, Marlins, Indians and Brewers, Mota is 33-35 with a 3.93 ERA in 548 games pitched. Mota also served a 50-game suspension to start the 2007 season after violating the league's drug policy.
