Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - The Canadian Football League has set its salary cap at $4.2 million for the 2009 season, the league announced on Wednesday. The cap remains unchanged from last season as the league stated it is trying to take a responsible approach to the current worldwide economic situation. "Our league is well positioned for challenging times, because it is affordable for Canadian families, accessible to our fans, and prudent in how it conducts its business," said commissioner Mark Cohon. One year ago, the cap increased 3.75 percent, from $4.05 million to $4.2 million.
