Winnipeg, MB (My Sportsbook) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced the resignation of vice president of player personnel Brendan Taman on Tuesday. Taman, who had served as Winnipeg's general manager for the past five seasons, began his tenure with the Blue Bombers in 1999 as assistant general manager before being named vice president of player personnel. "We truly are sorry to see Brandan leave after all that he has given to this organization over the years," team president and CEO Lyle Bauer said. "Brandan's contributions are immense. However, we need to respect his decision and wish him nothing but the best in the future." Winnipeg reached the Grey Cup final in 2007, losing to Saskatchewan, then barely qualified for the playoffs this past season with a record of 8-10 and lost to Edmonton in the East Division semifinals.
