Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Darren Collison had 18 points and six assists, as 10th-ranked UCLA held on for a 64-60 win over Southern California to stay unbeaten in conference play.

Nikola Dragovic added 14 points and Jrue Holiday scored 13 for the Bruins (13-2, 3-0 Pac-10), who have ripped off nine consecutive wins. UCLA opened its Pac-10 slate with a sweep through Oregon, with wins over the Beavers and Ducks, before going to the Galen Center to top the Trojans.

The Bruins play their first home conference game on Thursday, when they host Arizona.

DeMar DeRozan had 15 points to pace USC (10-5, 1-2), which has lost two in a row. Taj Gibson and Daniel Hackett each scored 13 in the loss for the Trojans.

With the score tied with five minutes to play, Holiday had a layup and Dragovic drilled a three for a 58-53 UCLA lead. Hackett came back with a three of his own, before Dragovic made 3-of-4 foul shots, setting UCLA's lead at 61-56 with a little over two minutes left.

Gibson deposited a layup to get USC within three, and on the other end Dragovic was off-the-mark with a trey as the clock rolled under a minute. The Trojans searched for a shot, but Dwight Lewis' jumper missed and Dragovic grabbed the board with half a minute left.

Gibson then fouled Josh Shipp, who went to the line and made two free throws for a 63-58 UCLA lead. Marcus Johnson deposited a quick layup with under 10 seconds left, and Collison was fouled. He made only one foul shot, but it was enough to make it a two-possession game, and the Bruins held on for the win from there.

UCLA took a 19-8 lead on a Collison layup just over six minutes into the game, but USC clawed its way back and got within 26-25 on a Hackett jumper with about six minutes left in the half. UCLA held a 33-31 edge at intermission, though USC stormed in front in the second half.

Johnson's layup capped a 12-0 USC run that put the Trojans in front, 43-37. USC continued to lead until Shipp's free throw capped a six-point UCLA burst, tying the game at 51, and it was close down the stretch.

Game Notes

USC made 49 percent of their shots, but only 9-of-15 free throw attempts...UCLA shot 42 percent from the floor, but eight of the team's 21 field goals were from beyond the arc. The Bruins also made 14-of-19 from the stripe.
