Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Ray Allen was nearly perfect in his season-high 36-point game, leading the Boston Celtics to a 94-88 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre.

Allen shot 11-of-14 overall and 8-of-10 from three-point range for the Celtics, who had lost four straight and seven of their last nine after a 19- game winning streak. Rajon Rondo posted 14 points and 11 assists, and Kevin Garnett had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

"12:30 games are tough for us, for most of us not having familiarity with it, but for the most part we got back to some of the things that we wanted to do," Allen said. "(We created) a good flow on offense and that was what was important. Defensively we were better, but we did have slippage at the end of the third and fourth quarter."

Paul Pierce added 11 points, six assists and six rebounds for Boston.

"I don't care if we win; I want to win the game, but I want us to play it right," said Celtics head coach Doc Rivers. "We played it right in stretches, but there is no relief there, we could (have) played better and we know that."

Chris Bosh had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Raptors, who had won four of their previous five before shooting a dreadful 37.8 percent from the field Sunday. Andrea Bargnani contributed 17 points and nine rebounds, and Jamario Moon had 15 points in the loss.

"(We can't) dig a hole in the first two quarters," Bosh said. "In the fourth quarter they really showed us that if we just continue to move the ball, stop staying stagnant, holding the ball and just make hard cuts we can score pretty easily. If we play the right way on defense, we can rebound the ball, and it will be a much closer game next time."

Jose Calderon returned from a four-game absence, due to a hamstring injury, to score just six points and dish out three assists in a little under 22 minutes of action.

Down 12-6 early, the Celtics used a 15-0 burst to take a nine-point edge. Boston held a 32-20 lead after the first quarter. Allen was a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range for 15 points in the frame.

The Celtics led, 54-41, at halftime.

Garnett's dunk with 4:48 left in the third put Boston up by 20, 71-51, and the Celtics took a commanding 75-55 edge to the fourth.

Toronto scored the first six points of the fourth to cut its deficit to 14, and Moon's layup made it an 80-70 game with seven minutes left.

The Raptors made it an eight-point game, but Allen's eighth three of the game put the Celtics up 12 with 3:46 to play.

Toronto answered with seven straight points, and a Bargnani three cut the Raptors' deficit to five with 1:36 left. Moon missed a wide-open three on the ensuing possession, and Pierce drained a jumper with 40.2 seconds left to put Boston up seven.

The Celtics made their free throws down the stretch to seal the game.

Game Notes

The Celtics lead the season series, 3-0...Boston has taken seven of eight meetings with the Raptors...Kendrick Perkins (shoulder) sat out for the Celtics, as did guard Tony Allen (ankle)...These two teams will play in Boston on Monday.
