(My Sportsbook) - The Utah Jazz will continue a four-game homestand Saturday evening when the
Detroit Pistons pay a visit to EnergySolutions Arena.
Utah has won the first two tests on the residency and improved to 14-4 in Salt Lake City after beating the New Orleans Hornets, 116-90, on Wednesday. Paul Millsap recorded his 19th straight double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds, as the Jazz posted their sixth win in 10 tries overall.
Mehmet Okur added 20 points and Kyle Korver netted 15 for Utah, which got 13 points from Andrei Kirilenko. C.J. Miles had eight points for Utah, but left late in the third quarter with a sprained right ankle. Miles is doubtful versus the Pistons.
The Jazz have won four in a row at home and will also host the Indiana Pacers on the current residency.
Meanwhile, Detroit will wrap up a four-game road trip Saturday and is 2-1 so far on the swing. It has won eight of the last nine games overall, including Friday's 93-90 triumph at Denver in Allen Iverson's return to his former stomping grounds. Iverson had 23 points and was back at the Pepsi Center for the first time since being traded to Detroit earlier this season.
Iverson was sent to the Motor City on November 3 for a package that included point guard Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb. McDyess later returned to the Pistons after his contract was bought out and was instrumental with 12 rebounds in this game.
Tayshaun Prince had 19 points and hit the go-ahead jumper with 20.6 seconds left, while Arron Afflalo scored 17 points for Detroit. The Pistons are 10-7 away from The Palace of Auburn Hills this season. Guard Richard Hamilton (groin) and center/forward Rasheed Wallace (foot) both missed Friday's game for Detroit and will most likely not suit up again tonight.
Utah posted a 120-114 double overtime win against Detroit on December 19 this season at The Palace. Okur and Millsap scored 26 and 24 points, respectively, to lead the charge. Utah has won seven straight and nine of the last 10 meetings in the series.
Detroit has lost five straight after winning its last two at the Jazz.
