Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard suffered a sprained left wrist early in the third quarter of Friday's 128-100 loss against the Phoenix Suns.

Howard went up for a rebound and came down awkwardly as he got tangled up with Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire with 9:43 remaining in the quarter. Howard walked off the court with his left arm lowered. X-rays taken at the arena were negative.

For the season, Howard is averaging 18.1 points and five rebounds a game.
