(My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Clippers will try to close out a three-game road trip on a winning note tonight, when they pay a visit to the New Orleans Hornets in the Big Easy. The Clippers will also try to snap a nine-game overall slide and rebound from Thursday's 106-84 setback to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center. Eric Gordon and Al Thornton both scored 21 points for Los Angeles, while Mardy Collins posted 16 in the loss. Fred Jones had 11 points and Marcus Camby posted nine along with nine rebounds for Los Angeles, which has lost five straight on the road and fell to 5-13 away from Staples Center this season. New Orleans will kick off a short two-game homestand versus the Clippers and Knicks on Friday and is 11-4 as the host this season. The Hornets have lost two of their last three games, including Wednesday's 116-90 setback to the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City. Chris Paul had 26 points and seven assists for the Hornets. David West ended with 13 points and James Posey 11 in defeat. New Orleans went 2-2 on its recent four-game road swing. The Hornets posted a 99-87 victory over the Clippers on November 24 of this season and have won seven straight in the series. LA is winless in its last three trips to New Orleans Arena.
