Memphis, TN (My Sportsbook) - The Memphis Grizzlies acquired guard Shaun Livingston and cash Wednesday from the Miami Heat in exchange for a 2012 conditional second-round draft choice. Also Wednesday, Memphis waived Livingston. Livingston, who was signed by Miami prior to the season, played in just four games for the Heat this season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.0 assists. It was the first he played since a gruesome knee injury sidelined him in February 2007 while with the Clippers. Livingston, who decided against attending college after his draft stock rose due to a prolific high school career, tore the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus when landing awkwardly on a drive to the basket in a game against Charlotte. The 6-foot-7 combo guard also suffered a patella dislocation, in addition to a previously diagnosed tibia/femoral dislocation. The 23-year-old, the fourth overall pick in the 2004 draft by the Clippers, underwent successful reconstructive left knee surgery but did not participate in the 2007-08 season. In parts of four seasons with the Clippers and Heat, Livingston posted averages of 7.3 points and 4.7 assists in 149 games -- 60 starts.
