Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Florida Marlins avoided going to arbitration with pitcher Logan Kensing after signing the pitcher Wednesday to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released, but the Miami Herald reported its worth as $660,000. Kensing appeared in 48 games for Florida last season in a relief role, going 3-1 with a 4.23 earned run average, with 55 strikeouts and 33 walks in 55 1/3 innings. In parts of five seasons, all with the Marlins, the 26-year-old owns a career 7-7 record with a 4.94 ERA.
