Memphis, TN (My Sportsbook) - Randy Foye nailed a game-deciding three-pointer and got a block on the other end in the final 40.6 seconds, sending the Minnesota Timberwolves to a third straight win for the first time this season with a 94-87 triumph against Memphis at FedEx Forum.

Foye ended with 23 points, Al Jefferson logged 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks while Craig Smith and Ryan Gomes contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively, in the victory.

Sebastian Telfair narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine assists for the T'Wolves, who last won three consecutive games from January 12-15, 2007, nearly two years ago.

Minnesota, which had just four wins at Christmas, has won five of its last seven games after enduring a 13-game losing streak.

Hakim Warrick was high man with 22 points and collected six rebounds for the Grizzlies, who lost for the fifth time in the last six, finishing a four- game homestand 1-3. O.J. Mayo had 20 points, eight boards and five helpers while Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay provided 13 and 12 points, respectively, in the loss.

Memphis had trailed throughout the game but a Gasol layup with five minutes to play sparked a 12-2 run that allowed the Grizzlies to tie the game at 87. Warrick completed a three-point play with just under three minutes left to climb within three. Ninety seconds later, Gasol hung in the air for a bank shot in close and got the foul, completing a three-point play to tie the game.

A turnover on the other end gave Memphis its first chance for a lead but Warrick's jumper was off the mark and Foye came back to drill a three with 40.6 seconds to go. Mayo drove to the hoop on the ensuing possession but Foye rose up and pinned the ball against the backboard and Gomes delivered a fast- break bucket on the other end with 27.1 seconds left, all but clinching the win for Minnesota.

Minnesota led from the tip and closed the opening frame up eight, 31-23. Both teams struggled from the floor through most of the second and a pair of baskets from Warrick got the Grizz within six late in the frame. The T'Wolves closed the half up by that same margin, 45-39, on back-to-back jumpers from Smith and Telfair.

Each team got back on track in the third and Memphis kept it close as Warrick scored five straight points, capped by a three-point play with 1:11 left in the frame, pulling the Grizz within three. Telfair answered with a three- pointer before Kyle Lowry sank a pair from the line for a four-point game, 72-68, entering the fourth.

Game Notes

The T'Wolves have won three straight and four of their last five meetings with the Grizzlies, including a 108-98 overtime victory on December 29 in Minnesota...The T'Wolves improved to 5-13 away from Target Center this season...Memphis is now 9-11 at home this season.
