Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Philadelphia district attorney Lynne Abraham announced Tuesday that no criminal charges will be filed at this time against Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, stemming from a shooting incident back in April. Harrison has been accused of being involved in a shooting outside an auto repair shop he owns in North Philadelphia. Although no arrests were made and police did not name Harrison as a suspect in the shooting that left three people injured, the future Hall of Fame wideout turned over his Belgian-made pistol allegedly used at the scene but insisted he did not pull the trigger. Abraham noted that too many contradictory and misleading statements led to the decision. Alleged victim Dwight Dixon said he was shot in the left hand. Harrison admitted he was involved in a fight with Dixon two weeks prior to the shooting in his hometown of North Philadelphia. Dixon has since filed a civil lawsuit asking for $100,000 in damages. Abraham added that charges could be filed pending the results from the civil case. Harrison recorded 636 yards and five touchdowns on 60 catches in 15 games this season. He finished with 20 yards on three receptions in Saturday's playoff loss at San Diego. The former Syracuse star, who played in only five games in 2007 because of a knee injury, owns 14,580 receiving yards in his career.
