(My Sportsbook) - The
Washington Wizards hope to string back-to-back wins together over two of the NBA's elite teams this evening when they visit the
Orlando Magic at Amway Arena.
Washington snapped a two-game losing streak against the Central Division- leading Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, as Antawn Jamison recorded 26 points and 13 rebounds, and nailed the go-ahead jumper with 10.5 seconds to play in an 80-77 win at Verizon Center.
The Wizards also got 19 points from Caron Butler while Dominic McGuire collected 10 points and 10 rebounds to help power Washington to a 52-35 rebounding advantage over the Cavaliers.
Washington, which has managed only seven victories on the season, won for just the third time in its last 13 games, but has won three of its last five.
Now, the Wiz visit the Southeast-leading Magic, who enter tonight's tilt on a sour note after dropping a 108-102 decision to the undermanned Toronto Raptors on Sunday at Air Canada Centre.
Dwight Howard matched a career-high with 39 points and pulled down eight rebounds but missed two critical free throws late in the game for Orlando, which is still 9-2 over its last 11 games.
Rashard Lewis registered 20 points, dished out nine assists and grabbed six boards in the losing effort.
On the injury front guard Keith Bogans is questionable with an ankle injury. Bogans sustained the injury on Wednesday in Chicago and has played in the two games thereafter, but has struggled. Should he sit, rookie Courtney Lee could get his first NBA start.
Orlando has won nine straight in its arena and is 14-3 at home this season, while the Wizards have won just two of their 15 games away from home this season.
The Magic have already beaten the Wiz twice this season and have won three straight and six of the last seven meetings. Washington has also dropped two straight and five of its last seven in Orlando.
