St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - The St. Louis Cardinals have signed free- agent relief pitcher Royce Ring to a one-year contract, the club announced Monday. The left-handed Ring played 42 games for Atlanta in 2008, going 2-1 with an 8.46 earned run average. He gave up 21 earned runs in 22 1/3 innings, striking out 16 and walking 10. In 94 career appearances in four seasons with the New York Mets, San Diego and Atlanta, Ring owns a 3-3 record with a 4.93 ERA. |
