Denver Nuggets resume a season-long seven-game homestand Monday when they welcome the
Indiana Pacers to the Rocky Mountains.
The Nuggets won the opener of the residency on Saturday when Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help Denver stave off the New Orleans Hornets, 105-100.
J.R. Smith had 17 points for the Nuggets, who have won three straight and five of six overall. Chauncey Billups and Nene dropped 14 points apiece in the win.
Denver, which is a solid 12-4 at the Pepsi Center, will also face Miami, Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix and Orlando on its residency.
The Pacers, who are opening a five-game road trip. won their second straight game on Saturday when Danny Granger poured in 35 points and was perfect at the line late in the fourth as Indiana held on for a wild 122-117 win over the Sacramento Kings at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Granger was 10-of-20 from the field with six rebounds and hit 13-of-16 free throw attempts including a 4-for-4 stretch over the final 30 seconds.
T.J. Ford contributed 16 points and seven assists while Jarrett Jack added 13 points and seven boards for the Pacers, who snapped a four-game slide with a thrilling win over the Knicks on Friday and won for the first time at home in five games Saturday.
Troy Murphy logged 12 points and 13 rebounds while Roy Hibbert and Marquis Daniels had 12 points each in the win.
Indiana will also face Phoenix, the LA Lakers, Golden State and Utah on its trek.
The Pacers snapped a seven-game skid to Denver with a 112-110 win in the Rocky Mountains last season.
