New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher stated on CBS's "NFL Today" show that he does not plan on becoming a head coach in 2009.

Cowher, who has been rumored for multiple NFL head coaching vacancies in recent days, said the timing is not right for his return to the sidelines. Instead, he will remain as an analyst for CBS.

Cowher served as the head coach for the Steelers for 15 years, with two Super Bowl appearances. Pittsburgh lost Super Bowl XXX following the 1995 season to the Dallas Cowboys, but won Super Bowl XL after the 2005 campaign over Seattle. Cowher's Steelers teams went 149-90, and reached the postseason in 10 out of 15 seasons.
